Horizontal Engine with Moving Cylinder

This is the engine I am currently working on. I started it July 9, 2022. The yellow piston illustrated slides horizontally back and fourth on the piston rod. The control valves are shown in yellow above and a little behind the cylinder. The entire engine appears more complicated than necessary. I believe I can simplify.
